     to the God of goodness and love.

A All of you whom God has met
      in trouble and desperation;

B From north and south, and east
      and west: give thanks, all the earth.

A Give thanks in sickness
      and in health;

B Give thanks in hunger
      and in plenty.

A Give thanks in darkness
      and in light;

B Give thanks, give thanks,
      to our God who is always with us.

A For wonder and word,
      for steadfast love;

B With songs of joy
      and our sacrifice of praise:
