increase our faith
we cry
ungrateful for the seed
already planted,
neglecting its thirst,
inattentive to its growth –
it is small, give us
larger, give us more,
we cry,
ungrateful for the gift
already given,
inattentive to its worth,
neglecting the giver –
it is small, we must
work hard,
can we not have an easy
path, that lighter yoke
you mentioned?
bless us more richly,
show us to be so
faithful by the increase
of your anointing.
