We are worthy

after Luke 7:1–10

Who is worthy of our care?

We remember employees, contractors, tradespeople, public servants, nurses, doctors, waiters and waitresses, defence force personnel, firefighters, paramedics and police officers.

We remember those who serve: may they, may we, do so with loyalty, attention and diligence.

Who is worthy of our respect?

We remember bosses, politicians, teachers, parents, judges, magistrates, philanthropists, musicians, actors, poets, elite sportspeople, ministers, priests and pastors.

We remember those who lead: may they, may we, do so by example of love, wisdom and generosity.

Who is worthy of God's healing?

We remember all.
All who live.
All who breathe.
All who call Earth home.

We remember, and what's more, God remembers. We are worthy, every one.

Amen.
