Some take pride in horses,
coursing blood through warm
flesh, flexing strength to carry
them, marry them greedy ones
to fear like a mistress
legitimised.
Some take pride in chariots,
the gaudiest treasures set lower
than heaven's direction, rickety
trickery temptation plays with them,
lays for them traps to trip
them every time.
We will arise, remembered,
stand, protected, and call
on the Holy Name, sing praise
to the Holy Name, proud
to be named by the Holy
One, heard by the Holy One,
shout to the One Holy,
Name beyond naming:
arise! and remember the Holy
forever, you who are called
and who turn at your name.
