Introduction to Holy Communion

with Luke 10:1-20 

Jesus sends us into the world,

to gather, bring peace, be fed.

Jesus calls us in from the world,

to gather, rest in his peace, be fed.

Jesus sends us into the world

with a Spirit of healing, a gift of comfort.

Jesus calls us in from the world

for our healing, to rest in his comfort.

Jesus sends us into the world

to speak an invitation of return to God.

Jesus calls us in from the world:

invited, welcomed, to rest in the heart of God.

And so we ask:        Holy One, have mercy on us.

Jesus, the Christ, have mercy on us.

Holy One, Holy Three, give us peace.
